Briefly scald millet 1-2 times with hot water. Bring milk to a boil, add millet, salt lightly and add finely chopped bitter almonds if desired. Stew everything until soft and let cool. Mix butter with yolks and sugar until fluffy. Mix in millet, beat egg whites to snow and fold in. Pour into a buttered pan and bake in the oven for about 40-50 minutes.
