A cake recipe for all foodies:

Coarsely dice the nougat and leave to cool. For the dough, mix 200 g light butter, curd cheese and sugar. Add eggs and hazelnuts. Mix flour, baking powder and gingerbread spice and sift. Add to the dough form and stir well.

Roll out dough on a floured work surface to about 40 x 40 cm.

Spread nougat evenly on top. Turn dough over on both sides and shape into a stollen.

Place the nougat stollen on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees (gas: level 3/fan: 175 degrees) for about 50 minutes.

Melt the remaining light butter. Brush the warm Stollen with it and dust with powdered sugar.

Tip: The nougat stollen only needs to cool after baking.

Now you can enjoy it. Wrapped tightly in aluminum foil, it keeps well.
