Score the chops at the fat edge and place them in an ovenproof dish. Heat the fat in the frying pan and fry the onions in it. Add sugar, vinegar and juice of one lemon, let it boil briefly and pour it over the chops. Mix all the spices with the tap water, pour ditto over the meat.
Sauté the chops in a heated oven at 200° Celsius (convection oven 180° Celsius) for 50 minutes, meanwhile pour the sauce over them.
Serve with long-grain rice or alternatively spaghetti.
