When learning to eat, the little ones prefer to grab with their hands. These little cakes are a main meal and may be eaten with the fingers.

Carrots rinse, remove the peel and grate finely. Whisk milk with yogurt, cinnamon, egg yolks, nutmeg and sugar, then stir in carrots and cornmeal. Beat egg whites until stiff and stir in. Grease 4 small quiche molds, pour in the cornmeal mixture and bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees (gas mark 3) for 25 minutes.

Variations: You can use this basic mixture for any vegetable quiche and bake the same way for the whole family. For a pie dish with a diameter of 26 cm you need twice the basic quantity. In addition to the carrots, you can sprinkle grated cheese on top, bake small cubes of ham, put slices of tomato or other leftover vegetables on top. However, use only 1 pinch of sugar for these spicy versions. Freeze the individual portions and defrost them in the microwave one more time.

or strawberries and bake them as well – they will sink in the process.

Tip: It is best to use your favorite ham – then your dish tastes twice as good!
