First prepare the dough. To do this, quickly knead the curd, salt, egg, flour and breadcrumbs into a dough and let it rest briefly.
Form this dough into a roll and cut into 10 equal parts. Now wrap each apricot with the dough and twist into firm dumplings. Boil the dumplings in salted water for about 10 minutes.
In the meantime, prepare the breadcrumb mixture. Melt butter in a pan and add crumbs, sugar and cinnamon. Add nuts according to taste.
Let the crumb mixture toast, stirring constantly so it turns light brown. Keep stirring as it can burn quickly.
Remove the dumplings from the water with a perforated scoop, drain briefly and immediately turn them in the breadcrumb mixture.
Sprinkle the apricot dumplings with powdered sugar and serve.
