(*) for 4 toddlers Rinse two tangerines well with hot water and grate the peel. Peel and cut all the tangerines. Mix with powdered sugar and let rest for half an hour.
Finely crumble meringue in a freezer bag. Mix tangerine juice and grated tangerine peel with curd cheese and whip with a whisk until creamy, stir in whipped cream, add vanilla pulp and meringue crumbs, fold in tangerine pieces.
Line a loaf pan with greaseproof paper, pour in the ice cream mixture and freeze.
Serve: Before serving, place the very firm ice cream in the refrigerator for half an hour. It goes very well with mandarin orange slices that have been marinated in sugar for half a day.
