To make the potato-nut thalers, first boil the potatoes, peel them and press them through a potato ricer. Chop the nuts very finely with a knife or grind them coarsely with a grinder.

Then peel the onion, chop very finely and mix into the potato together with the grated nuts and the ground green seeds. Add the beaten eggs, the chopped herbs, the spices and a pressed garlic clove as well.

Now let the potato mixture rest for 20 minutes.

After that, shape the dough into flat taler, turn them in wholemeal breadcrumbs and fry the potato-nut taler in a pan with melted butter on both sides until golden brown.
