For the pears with egg liqueur, peel the pears, cut them in half and cut out the core.

Cut the pear halves in a fan shape.

In a small saucepan, bring water with sugar and lemon juice to a boil and place pears in. Simmer for 7 minutes. The pears should not fall apart.

Place two pear halves in each dessert bowl, empty the eggnog onto the pears while they are still hot.

Serve the pears with eggnog sprinkled with almond slivers.
