For minced meat with mashed potatoes, first peel and coarsely dice the potatoes and boil in salted water until soft. Drain and squeeze. Heat the milk and mix with the potatoes. Stir in butter. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Blanch tomatoes and peel off skin. Cut the flesh into small cubes. Peel and finely dice the shallots. Peel and press or finely chop the garlic.

Heat the oil and fry the shallots and garlic in it. Add the minced meat and fry well. Add the tomatoes. Simmer for about half an hour. Season with salt and pepper. Puree if necessary.

Serve minced meat with mashed potatoes.
