For the currant pinwheels, roll out puff pastry and cut into squares. Put a spoonful of firm currant jam in the center of each square, cut dough slightly from the tips and form pinwheels.
Stick the tips of the dough together with beaten egg, brush all around with it. Place the pinwheels on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Bake at 200 degrees hot air for 12 minutes, remove and sugar over.
