Boil water with a little salt in a wok or pot.

Pour in the egg noodles and cook according to the instructions on the package (usually only 4-5 min).

Drain the noodles well and rinse in cold water, then drain again thoroughly and transfer to a wide dish. Add a tiny bit of vegetable oil and toss.

Heat the remaining vegetable oil in a preheated wok or large skillet until very hot.

Add the green onion, chopped and the light soy sauce and mix well again.
