For the sausage casserole, cut the peeled potato into thin slices. Cut the peeled sausage into thin slices.

Peel the onion and cut into small cubes and then lightly brown in a little oil. Layer the potatoes the sausage and the onion cubes alternately in a smaller casserole dish.

Whisk the sour cream with the milk and the egg and season with the spices and spread over the layered potatoes.

Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake the whole thing in the oven at 180 °C for approx. 30 min until light brown.
