Cut the apples and the peeled oranges into bite-sized pieces. Together with the cloves, cinnamon and almonds, heat in a pot with the red wine. Allow to steep for about 10 to 15 minutes, but do not bring the drink to a boil! Then add the rum to taste (taste in between) and pour the drink together with the fruit into glasses.
