For the Easter plait, make a smooth yeast dough from the ingredients with the dough hook of the kitchen machine. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 50 minutes.
(The volume should have doubled). Knead the dough again and divide it into 3 equal parts. From these parts now roll 3 strands of equal length. Now braid these into a plait.
Press well together at the end. Place this braid on a floured baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 170 °C for about 50 minutes until golden brown.
If you put a fireproof bowl with water in the oven before you start, steam will develop, which will have a positive effect on the volume of the braid.
