Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Rinse the currants, dry them with kitchen roll and remove the berries. Put them in a buttered clafoutis dish and sprinkle with powdered sugar (I).

Beat the eggs with the remaining powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and rum, add the sifted flour, then whipped cream and milk.

Pour this mixture over the currants and bake for about 30 minutes.

Serve lukewarm or cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.

Tastes very good – serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
