For the Camembert Onion Bites, first prepare the dough for the bread balls. To do this, stir the dry yeast into the lukewarm water.
Mix the whole wheat and rye flour with the salt and the dissolved yeast in the water and add the vinegar. Now knead everything well into a dough and let it rise for half an hour to an hour in a warm place.
Then knead again and form small balls. Place them on a baking tray with baking paper and brush with a little water. Sprinkle with grains if desired.
Bake at 200 °C top/bottom heat for about half an hour, or keep looking and reaching for the bread balls! After the bread balls have finished baking and have cooled down, cut them apart and brush the cut surfaces with a little butter.
Place small pieces of lettuce on the bottom of the bread ball, as well as a piece of camenbert and some onion jam. Just put the bread ball lid on top and fix it with a toothpick.
