Preheat oven to 220 °C.

Mix yeast with water, oil and sugar and let rise for 5 minutes.

Add egg, salt and flour and knead into a smooth dough. Form dough into a roll and portion into 12 equal pieces. “Grind” each portion into a ball: Turn dough loosely between the hollow of your hand and work surface until dough has formed a smooth surface.

Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper not too close to each other, cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for 15 minutes.

Brush burger buns with a little egg white (or water) and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.
