Try this delicious cake recipe:
(*) For a loaf pan with a length of 25 cm.
Dough: Set the oven to 220 °C grill setting. Separate the eggs, whisk the egg whites with the sugar until creamy and stiff, add the cornstarch and whisk until smooth. Whip the soft butter until creamy. Finely grate the marzipan, mix with the egg yolks and stir into the butter. Add the orange liqueur and fold the whipped cream loosely into the egg mixture.
Spread 2 tbsp of batter on the bottom of the loaf pan and grill for 30 seconds. When the layer is nicely browned, repeat the process until the amount is used up.
Cool the Baumkuchen and turn it out.
Glaze: melt cooking chocolate with butter in a water bath and spread evenly over cooled Baumkuchen.
