Preheat the oven to 150°C for the Baumkuchen.
Mix butter, honey and marzipan until smooth and then beat until fluffy. Separate the eggs and gradually add the yolks to the butter mixture.
Beat egg whites with granulated sugar and a pinch of salt until creamy. Sift flour and cornstarch, fold in whites and flour mixture alternately. Line the bottom of a fireproof square pan or square cake pan with baking paper.
Turn oven on to broil function. Now spread a thin layer on the baking paper and bake until golden brown. Repeat layer by layer until all the cake mixture is used up.
Let cool and serve.
