For the apple and onion soup with cheese toasts, peel the onion and garlic cloves and cut into strips. Caramelize granulated sugar in Mazola corn oil, fry onion and garlic and season with salt, pepper and marjoram. Deglaze mixture with apple juice and add 0.4 l water.
Stir in KNORR Bouillon Pur Rind and simmer gently for about 10 minutes while stirring. Towards the end of the cooking time, stir in apple strips and simmer. In the meantime, preheat oven to 190°C. Place bread slices on a baking tray and spread the mountain cheese evenly on top. Sprinkle bread with oregano and bake in oven for about 5 minutes.
