Put the fat, yeast, flour, salt and water in a large enough bowl and knead well with the dough hooks to form a medium-firm dough. Cover the dough with a wet tea towel and leave it in a warm place until it has doubled in size.
Then divide into three equal portions.
Knead the first third with 2 tbsp curry, the second third with 40 g fried onions and the third third with 3 tbsp fresh herbs. Roll out three evenly long strands and braid into a plait. Let the braid rise again for about 1/2 hour in a warm place.
Bake at 180 °C for about 60 minutes.
Tip:
You can also put the braid in a round cake springform pan lined with parchment paper and bake it into a wreath.
Our tip: If you like to cook with fresh herbs, it is best to get kitchen herbs in pots – so you always have everything ready!
