Peel the raw potatoes, grate and drain through a sieve. Grate the onions and garlic clove and stir in. Add eggs and oatmeal to the mixture, mix well and season with salt.

Cut the rib bacon into cubes and fry in fat in a round iron mold. Add the quantity of potatoes. Add ¼ liter of milk and stir until a “lump” is formed. The best way to do this is to divide the amount. Finally, sprinkle bacon cubes and breadcrumbs on the “lump” and cook the dish at 200 degrees for 1 hour.

Serve with applesauce or blueberry compote.
