Daiquiri in its classic give is shaken only from white rum, juice of a lemon and sugar. It is said to have been invented by a mining engineer who gave it the name of his workplace, a Cuban copper mine.
Here is a variant with strawberries: mix all ingredients well with ice in an electric mixer. Shape into a cocktail bowl and decorate with mint leaves and strawberry slices as you like.
Bring to the table immediately: the longer the drink stands, the more watery it becomes.
