For the nut bites, beat the egg whites with salt until stiff, slowly stir in the powdered sugar, then stir in the spices, vanilla sugar and nuts.
Fill the dough into plastic wrap or a large freezer bag and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Form small balls from the dough and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper and flatten very lightly.
Wash and lightly moisten your hands while shaping the dough, as it is quite sticky. Bake the Busserl in a preheated oven at 130 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
The Busserl should take color on the underside, but still be soft.
