For the blackberry gnocchi, first wash the blackberries and mix them in a bowl with flour and salt. Bring milk to a boil and pour enough over the berry-flour mixture to make a light dumpling dough.

Heat butter or clarified butter in a pan and place small nests of the dough in the pan. Fry until golden brown, turn and bake out.

Serve blackberry dumplings sprinkled with powdered sugar.
