45 min, simply soak pearl barley and beans in water for one night. Bring 1 1/2 to 2 l of water to a boil in a saucepan. Cook the smoked meat together with the pearl barley, beans and parsley root for about 20 minutes.
Clean the leek. Remove peel from celery, carrots and potatoes and cut into cubes. Cut the smoked meat into cubes as well and cook all together in 10 to 15 minutes. Season with lovage, salt, pepper and soup cubes, sprinkle with a little chopped parsley and bring to the table.
