Instructions:

First, peel and chop the onion, peel and grate the carrot. Chop the chives into small pieces.

Bring water and milk to a boil with a little salt. Mix in oatmeal, simmer briefly over low heat while stirring throughout, then let steep.

Mix the cooled oat flakes with chopped onion, grated carrot, egg, flour and herbs.

Form palm-sized loaves from the oatmeal mixture, turn them in breadcrumbs to the other side and fry them in hot oil.

Mix all the ingredients for the chive sauce together, arrange the sauce with the oatmeal loaves on plates and serve.
