Bring water and sugar to a boil together until sugar is dissolved. Cool, flavor with the liqueur.
Peel figs, cut into slices, dice melon, peel grapefruit to the pulp and fillet.
Cut grapes in half and remove seeds.
Arrange the fruits on plates, pour the liqueur sauce over them, steep briefly, decorate with the mint leaves.
