Instructions:

Clean elder flowers from insects – possibly wash with a little cold water.

Mix the water with the sugar and let it dissolve completely.

Then boil the sugar water and then let it cool.

Add the citric acid to the sugar water and add the elderflowers.

For a better and more refreshing taste, slice the lemons and add them to the syrup.

Place in full sun for 3 days – I always cover the pot as insects are attracted by the sugar.

Make sure it is not airtight, otherwise it will start to mold! After 3 days, strain through a cloth and seal airtight in bottles.
