For the Danish-style cucumber salad, wash the cucumber and slice it into evenly thin slices. Sprinkle the cucumber slices with salt, mix well and leave to marinate for about 30 minutes.
In the meantime, make the marinade from balsamic vinegar, sugar, dill and a pinch of salt and pepper. Squeeze the salt-soaked cucumber slices well and add to the marinade.
Mix well and serve.
