Try this delicious pasta dish:
Add salt, onion slices, chicken pieces and pepper and a good 1/2 quart of water to a simmering pot. Cover and simmer over low heat for 1 hour, until meat is tender. Remove chicken pieces and drain, measure out half of the cooking liquid. Cool chicken, remove skin and bones. Cut meat into pieces.
Heat oil in a large frying pan, add cabbage, celery cubes and chicken pieces. Sauté heartily for 5 minutes, stirring throughout. Now add soy sauce, sugar, nuts and cooking liquid while stirring. Allow everything to bubble up.
Add pineapple, stir again and do 3 min. Serve with long grain rice or Chinese noodles if desired.
* If using canned pineapple, omit the sugar.
