Pit the cherries. Sprinkle with sugar and let stand for about 30 minutes. Bring to a boil and cook at low temperature for 3 minutes.

Add melon pieces, coarsely chopped lemon balm and vodka and boil repeatedly.

Immediately pour into prepared glasses and seal.
