Try this delicious cake recipe:
Put cornstarch (maizena), flour and baking powder in a suitable bowl. Add sugar, egg, anise, fat and the whipped cream.
Knead everything together with the mixer (dough hook) on the lowest speed, form into a ball, flatten it and put it to cool for at least half an hour, wrapped in cling film.
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius (convection oven 160 degrees Celsius, gas mark 2-3).
Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to a rectangle (50 x 15 cm). Cut into strips of 1.5 x 15 cm.
Loop each strip into a knot. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a heated oven for 15-20 minutes. Cool the biscotti on a broiler after baking.
For the glaze, stir together the powdered sugar and cherry juice. Brush the biscotti with it and dry.
