A great cake recipe for any occasion:

(*) For a loaf pan (25 cm long), cream butter with sugar until thick. Separate eggs, gradually stir egg yolks into sugar mixture.

Sift in flour with baking powder. Whip the egg whites with salt until stiff and fold into the dough.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Cut apples into quarters, remove peel, core and cut apples into small pieces. Coarsely chop the chocolate with a kitchen knife.

Mix apples and chocolate into the dough.

Grease the pan and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Pour in the dough and spread it smoothly. Bake in the oven for 1 and a quarter hours.

While still hot, brush the cake with honey and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
