Instructions:

For the fig compote, heat the sugar in a saucepan until it becomes liquid. Cut the figs in half and place the cut side in the pot.

Turn down heat, pour in water, add cloves and cinnamon bark and cook for about 5 minutes. Put the fig compote in a cool place.
