Try this delicious pasta dish:
Sift the flour, whisk with the salt. Knead well with the addition of water until a homogeneous dough is formed. (We add the saffron or the turmeric here. This gives the dough a yellow color. Without it, the dough looks like chewed gum. Note of the Abtipper.) Shape 12 egg-sized balls and rest for 20 min. Roll out as thinly as possible on a floured work surface, then bake in a greaseless frying pan over a low fire for 2 min. on each side. Prepare a basket with a napkin and fill with the finished wheat tortillas and cover.
