For the semolina dumplings, bring milk, sugar, vanilla sugar, a pinch of salt and butter to a boil. Add the semolina and continue to simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes while stirring.

To allow the semolina to swell, remove the saucepan from the heat and allow to cool briefly. Stir eggs evenly into semolina mixture.

Cover and refrigerate (mass must cool) Bring water with a little sugar to a boil, then reduce the temperature so that the water is only slightly simmering.

From the mass either form small dumplings (approx: 3cm diameter) or cut out dumplings with a spoon. Let the dumplings simmer for about 10 minutes.
