Pasta dishes are always a good idea!

Sauerkraut Sauté onion in lard until translucent, then add sauerkraut, roast until brown. Pour on some beef broth. Put ham on top and cook until soft with the lid closed. Then gradually add the beef broth (about 1 hour).

Schupfnudeln Remove peel from potatoes and press through a press. Add flour and eggs, season with salt and nutmeg. When the dough is firm, form small finger-length rolls. Boil the water with salt, make the Schupfnudeln in portions in it until they float on the surface. Lift out with a slotted spoon and drain. Serve with the sauerkraut.

You can also serve Schupfnudeln with meat, salads, apple compote or fruit.
