Instructions:

Pour red wine into a pot.

Peel pears and remove the core with a baller. Cut flesh into bite-sized pieces to taste and immediately place in the pot with red wine.

Simmer water with sugar and spices for about 10 minutes. Then pour to the pears and let them cook until the flesh can be easily pierced with a toothpick.
