Instructions:

Put washed liver in milk for 20 min.

Take out, dab dry and perhaps skin.

Cut white cabbage into pieces and put through a meat grinder with the liver. Mix well with flour, egg yolk, grated cheese and sour whipped cream and season with salt. If the mixture is too dry, add a little milk. Last but not least, fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Drop the dough by spoonfuls into hot butter and bake until golden brown on both sides.

To serve, baste with sour whipped cream or hot butter.

Tip: It is best to use your favorite ham – then your dish tastes twice as good!
