Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Sauté the onion and garlic in it. Add the lentils. Pour in the vegetable soup and the crème fraîche and cook the lentils for half an hour at low temperature with the lid closed. Stir occasionally. Season the lentils with salt, pepper and stir in the kitchen herbs.
