For the berry dumplings, mix the berries with flour and a pinch of salt. Bring the milk to the boil and pour it into the flour mixture, stirring constantly until a thick mixture is formed.

Heat some butter in a pan, cut out dumplings from the mixture with the help of a spoon and place them in the pan. Fry the dumplings for a few minutes, turning once. Lift out, arrange on warmed plates and serve the berry dumplings sprinkled with powdered sugar.
