For the beer hen wash the chicken (hen) and pat dry (kitchen roll). Then rub with salt, bell pepper, paprika (mild), marjoram.
Preheat the oven to 220°C. Open the beer can and place the hen on it. It is best to plug the opening at the neck with a potato to keep the beer steam better in the hen. Add sprigs of rosemary or other spices if desired.
Carefully place the can on a roasting casserole. You can also fill the bottom of the casserole with potato and root vegetables (carrots, celery, onion, etc.). Then the casserole will be safer, too.
Put the beer hen in the casserole and pour the soup over it. After about 1 to 1.5 hours, the beer hen is ready.
