A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Knead together flour, butter, a good third of the salt, egg, sugar, cover and refrigerate. Remove peel from apples, cut into quarters, remove the skin, cut into cubes, sprinkle with juice of one lemon. Mix pudding powder with apple cider according to instructions, boil with sugar in remaining apple cider. Roll out dough, put into greased baking pan, line edges, pre-bake for 15 minutes at 175 °C. Mix apples with custard, spread on dough, bake for 40 minutes. Knead marzipan with powdered sugar, roll out, cut into strips, place on cake in a lattice, bake for 15 minutes. Mix powdered sugar and juice of one lemon and coat marzipan lattice.
