For the apple-onion chutney, peel apples and cut into 1-2 cm cubes, dice onion finely.
Remove seeds from peppers and chop finely. Boil vinegar with water, onions, raisins, sugar, apple pieces and salt.
Add pepperoni, cinnamon and clove powder and simmer gently for about 1 hour.
Pour the apple and onion chutney into sterile jars, seal tightly and store in the refrigerator.
