1/2 tsp. turmeric powder, turmeric.
Heat the oil and sauté the onion with the garlic until translucent. Pour in the whole chicken and fry on all sides at low temperature until well browned. Sprinkle the ginger as well as the salt evenly over the top, cover and gently wallow for a leisurely 40-60 min (turning to the other side from time to time). Mix the juice of one lemon with the water and add to the tenderl form. Add turmeric powder and crushed chiles and continue to cook until the chicken is done (about 15 minutes more). Remove from the frying pan, decorate nicely and serve hot with long grain rice.
