For the Potato Wegdes preheat the oven to 220 degrees hot air. The potatoes (use potatoes with a thin skin) are not peeled for wedges, but thoroughly washed and cleaned of any unsightly spots. To get the typical Wegdes shape, cut the potatoes into eighths. Now cook the potato wedges for about 6-8 minutes in hot water. Then let them cool down a bit.
Take a large bowl and add the potatoes, spices, olive oil and 2-3 tablespoons of water. Now mix everything together well. This also works very well in a larger freezer bag or freshness bag.
Then place the wedges on a baking tray lined with baking paper. If you prefer the potato wedges with a little spiciness, you can also season them with chili powder or cayenne pepper.
Bake the wedges for about 30 minutes, turning a few times, until they have a nice crispy surface.
Also try blue, pink or purple potatoes – it looks quite fantastic!
