Paprka cut into tender strips. Cut sweet potato coarsely into cubes, peel tomatoes, remove seeds and cut into cubes. Pour peas into a saucepan, pour clear soup. Add garlic, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes.
Stir in the remaining ingredients, boil repeatedly and continue simmering for 15-20 min.
Sprinkle with the roasted cumin and serve with steamed couscous.
The cayenne pepper is best added in 2 or 3 increments, 1/2 tsp may be too much for the inexperienced.
