Quickly mix the flour with about 500 ml of water, eggs and salt to make a dumpling dough. Boil salted water in a pot.
Now put the mixture on an oiled board and scrape smaller dumplings into the hot salted water with a knife. Boil for about 3 minutes and then strain the dumplings.
Finely chop about half of the onions and sauté in hot butter. Add the dumplings, sprinkle with cheese and pour whipped cream over. Season with salt and pepper and toss well in the pan.
Meanwhile, cut the remaining onions into rings and fry in hot oil until brown. Season with salt. Arrange the Kasnockerln, sprinkle with freshly chopped chives and garnish with roasted onions.
