For the chocolate cake, separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff.

Cream butter, sugar and chocolate, add yolks and mix even more. Add the milk. Add the flour and the sifted baking powder and finally fold in the snow.

Bake for 1 hour at approx. 180 degrees.

Divide the cooled chocolate cake in the middle and fill it with jam.

Brush the top and sides of the cake with jam and cover with chocolate icing.
